We are advertising on behalf of our client DC Tyre & Auto Services Pty Ltd MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: An ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technician specializes in the diagnosis, repair, and calibration of vehicle safety systems like cameras, radar, and sensors. They use specialized tools and software to ensure these systems function correctly, often after a collision or component replacement. Their work is crucial for maintaining vehicle safety and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnosis: Identifying faults in ADAS systems using scan tools and diagnostic
equipment.
Repair: Replacing or repairing faulty components like sensors, cameras, and
wiring harnesses.
Calibration: Ensuring ADAS systems are accurately calibrated after repairs or
component changes, using specialized equipment and procedures.
Coding and Programming: Configuring or reprogramming ADAS systems after
repairs or updates.
Reporting: Documenting work completed and communicating findings to relevant
parties.
Keeping up with Technology: Staying updated on the latest ADAS technologies
and calibration procedures. Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of automotive systems,
particularly ADAS technologies.
Diagnostic Skills: Ability to use scan tools and diagnostic equipment to
identify and troubleshoot ADAS faults.
Calibration Expertise: Knowledge of calibration procedures and the use of
specialized tools for various ADAS sensors and systems.
Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective
solutions.
Communication Skills: Effectively communicate technical information to
colleagues and customers. Qualifications:
Certificate Ill Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
Experience:
3 years previous experience in a similar role / industry
Salary Range : $76,515 to $85,000
