Overview
Destination Central Victoria (DCV) is the peak tourism organisation representing the Shires of Hepburn, Macedon Ranges, Mount Alexander and Central Goldfields. Operating under the Victorian Government's Visitor Economy Partnership model, DCV plays a critical role in promoting and strengthening one of Victoria's most recognised and diverse regional visitor economies.
Following a significant period of organisational evolution and transition, including the launch of the new Victoria's Heartland – Place of Plenty brand, DCV is entering an important and exciting new chapter. Supported by an engaged Board, passionate industry stakeholders and collaborative local government partnerships, the organisation is well positioned to continue building momentum, advocacy and regional impact across the visitor economy landscape.
Reporting directly to the Chair of the DCV Board, the Chief Executive Officer will lead both the strategic direction and operational delivery of the organisation. This is a highly visible and hands‐on leadership role responsible for stakeholder engagement, industry partnerships, destination development, marketing, governance and organisational leadership within a lean and agile operating environment.

* Manage stakeholder engagement, industry partnerships and regional collaborations.
* Drive destination development and marketing initiatives.
* Ensure effective governance and organisational leadership.
* Balance strategic capability with operational delivery and relationship management.
* Lead collaboratively through change and growth, building trust and alignment across diverse stakeholder environments.
Qualifications
* Experience in visitor economy partnerships, regional tourism boards, local government, destination management, economic development or adjacent regional business and leadership environments.
* Strong emotional intelligence and sound judgement.
* Ability to lead collaboratively through change and growth.
* Experience operating within complex stakeholder settings, managing budgets and delivering outcomes within lean organisational structures.
* Based within the region, visible, pragmatic and capable of building trust and alignment across a diverse stakeholder environment.
