Primary objective
Provide a high level of administrative support to students, staff, School Leadership and community members in a busy and demanding
school environment. Effectively assist with the management of the school's front office, including attendance, financial processes,
purchasing and receipting of goods.
Context statement
Ross Park Primary School is a large Alice Springs school with approximately 470 enrolments, including Rona Glynn Preschool students.

Key duties and responsibilities
1. Ensure timely and accurate management of school data and ensure accurate maintenance of all manual and computerised student
records including data entry, data retrieval and report preparation.
2. Action all incoming communications and counter enquiries from students, staff and the community, including processing of incoming
and outgoing mail services.
1. Assist with the receipting and banking of all general school monies and be responsible for reconciliation of cash and EFTPOS payments
and the safe keeping of school monies.
1. Undertake general administrative duties associated with the school and students as directed by the Leadership Team, including the
carrying out of first aid for students.
5. Responsible for the daily attendance duties for the Student Administration Management System (SAMS) and other tasks as necessary.
1. Assist the Business Manager with data entry, CiA transactions and other financial duties as required.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. High-level interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with an ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures
and work well with a wide range of people with tact and discretion.
2. Demonstrated experience in the management of cash and purchasing including receipting and banking monies in accordance with
policies and processes.
3. Demonstrated high-level administrative and organisational skills, including tracking and managing work deadlines, adjusting priorities
to meet deadlines and working collaboratively with others.
4. Demonstrated high-level computer literacy, including experience with the effective use of various office applications and accounting
programs.
5. The ability to work in a team and independently and maintain integrity and confidentiality.
6. A current Working with Children Clearance Notice (Ochre Card), First Aid Certificate and a current NT Driver's Licence or the ability
to obtain.
Desirable
1. Experience working within a school or similar setting.
