**About the Role**:
The Distribution Assistant is responsible for the provision of service across 3 key areas of Fiona Stanley Hospital:
Supplies - responsible for the ordering, receipt, storage, delivery and management of stock to support the Health functions at the hospital. This includes but is not limited to ordering items, unloading of goods from delivery vehicles, check and receipting items and delivery of stock to specific locations or personnel.
Linen Department - responsible for the distribution and collection of clean and used linen across the site using a roll on roll off trolley process. The role helps to ensure that Linen stock levels are always maintained for uninterrupted clinical use.
Waste Department - Responsible for ensuring the Waste Management Service distributes clean bins and collects soiled bins from specific disposal rooms and waste collection points around the hospital. All collected waste is segregated and disposed of in accordance to the type of waste and its disposal methods as per the service plan.
These roles are offered on a full-time, part-time and casual basis. Casual means there is no guarantee or roster of shifts. You will be called in to cover planned (annual leave) and unplanned (illness) leave. Shift duration varies depending on the location requirement.
These Services operate 24/7 with most shifts starting around 6:00am, 14:00pm and 20:00pm. We are looking for people who have the flexibility to work any shift including weekends.
