Join our Surgical Team as a Resident Medical Officer and help support our commitment to quality patient care About the Role: As the Resident Medical Officer, your duties may include: Providing appropriate clinical care to patients, supervise interns and medical students. Assisting in assessment and management of surgical patients admitted via emergency department. Being rostered on-call anywhere between 3-5 on calls per month. Participating in and be involved in a variety of elective and emergency surgical cases. About you: To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent To be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner Completed an internship training or relevant medical training to commence as a Surgical RMO Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. Must hold a general registration with a professional body in Australia. As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12-month allocation as Resident Medical Officer will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements.
