Mackay Signage Group is looking for a motivated, creative Graphic Designer to join our team.
We welcome applications from designers of all experience levels, from those new to the industry through to more advanced designers, who are eager to build their skills in signage in a fast-paced environment
About the Role
You will be working on a wide range of signage projects for both long-standing clients and new customers.
Designing practical, high-quality signage that translates well from concept to production.
You may also have opportunities to assist our in-house marketing team, contributing to promotional materials and social media content.
This position involves a mix of creative design work and structured, repeatable tasks, so it's important you're comfortable with routine-based workand enjoy refining designs to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Designing signage for a variety of applications, including but not limited to, signs, stickers, shopfronts, vehicle graphics & promotional products such as business cards, flags and banners.
Preparing artwork for print, flatbed cutting, CNC routing & 3D Fabrication
Proofing designs to customers via email and making revisions as required
Measuring vehicles and site locations when necessary to ensure accurate design and fit
Assisting with basic workflow and job tracking using internal systems
Managing multiple jobs and meeting deadlines in a busy workshop environment
About You
Strong computer skills are essential for this role.
Some experience using graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator or similar (preferred but not essential — training can be provided)
An eye for layout, typography, and visual consistency
Good communication skills and the ability to deal professionally with customers
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Must be willing to learn signage-specific processes and materials
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Signage industry experience is an advantage but not essential.
Training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
