About the Role
Food Service Assistant (Bulk Plating) – part‐time position (36hours per week) in the AM shift. You will provide meal and beverage services to all internal and external SVHM customers, including plating, cleaning, restocking, and basic meal preparation and production.
Responsibilities
* Plate, clean, restock the plating area and supplies.
* Provide correct food and beverage items according to patient meal tickets.
* Clean and maintain food and beverage trolleys, trays, crockery, cutlery, etc.
* Prepare salads and sandwiches as required.
Qualifications
* Current Food Handlers Certificate (HLTFSE001).
* Experience in high‐volume food service.
* Customer‐service focused with a strong commitment to patient satisfaction.
* Thorough understanding of Food Safety responsibilities.
* Valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willingness to obtain one.
* Classifications range from IN13 – IN14 (AUD49,145 – AUD53,508 per annum pro‐rata).

About the Food Services Team
St Vincent's Fitzroy Food Service Department is a central production kitchen that supplies food for 11 sites and for St Vincent's itself. The fully functional kitchen operates 365days a year, producing approximately 2,500 meals daily using the "cook‐chill" methodology. The department comprises over 85 employees, including cooks/chefs, kitchen hands, and food service assistants.
