Leeton High School has an enrolment of 460 students with 19% of the student population being of Aboriginal heritage. The school has also experienced a steady increase in EAL/D enrolments in recent years.
Located on Wiradjuri land, Leeton High School is well-resourced, set on attractive and spacious grounds and offers a diverse curriculum to meet the needs of students to prepare them for a productive and successful future. Selection Criteria
* Approval to teach English Years 7-12.
* Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within the English faculty to develop quality teaching and learning programs.
* Ability to use effective classroom management skills to create a classroom environment that is engaging, inclusive and fosters a culture of high expectations.
* Highly developed communication skills with the ability to establish positive, respectful relationships with students, staff and families.
Conditions
Successful applicants may be entitled to a Recruitment Bonus of $20,000 (Conditions Apply). The Recruitment Bonus will be paid on a pro rata basis for permanent part-time teachers and executive staff. The maximum recruitment bonus available for a position is $20,000, including any job share arrangements.
