Offer description

We are seeking a proactive and organised Administration Officer to join our supportive, professional and values‑driven team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, learns quickly, takes initiative, and wants to be part of a workplace that values quality, integrity, collaboration and growth.

About Us

At BSA, we exist to ensure that every building stands as a testament to safety, integrity and innovation, protecting lives, supporting communities and enabling visionary design within a complex compliance framework.

Our vision is to be the trusted leader in shaping safe, sustainable and innovative buildings through expertise, collaboration and forward‑thinking solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing Day to Day

This is a hands‑on administration role with real variety. On a typical day, you will:

* Answer and manage incoming phone calls and general enquiries

* Maintain accurate records, filing systems and documentation

* Prepare and manage documentation relating to projects, building permits, quotations and certificates

* Book mandatory inspections and manage calendars and contractor bookings

* Lodge documentation with regulatory authorities and ensure compliance with required timeframes

* Provide administrative support to Residential, Commercial and Essential Safety Measures teams

* Assist with fee proposals and submissions

* Maintain office presentation, stationery supplies and shared systems

* Support the team with ad‑hoc administrative tasks as required

You’ll be trusted to manage your workload, prioritise effectively, and follow tasks through with care and accountability.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Attributes

We’re looking for someone who brings the right attitude and capability, not just experience.

You will be:

* Experienced in an administration or office support role

* Proactive, with a can‑do approach to work and problem‑solving

* A quick learner, able to pick up new systems, processes, and tasks efficiently

* Strong in time management, able to meet deadlines and juggle competing priorities

* Confident with professional written and verbal communication

* Skilled in Microsoft Office at an intermediate to advanced level (Word, Excel, Outlook)

* Highly organised, with the ability to adapt as priorities change

* Comfortable working independently, while also collaborating effectively within a team

Desirable (but not essential)

* Experience working with project‑based documentation

* Exposure to compliance‑driven, construction, or technical environments

* Familiarity with regulatory or statutory documentation processes

Our Team & Culture

Our culture is built on trust, accountability, respect and genuine care for one another and our clients.

You’ll be part of a team that:

* Shows up for each other and our clients

* Values quality over perfection

* Practices active listening and clear, prompt communication

* Takes ownership and accountability for outcomes

* Learns through collaboration, feedback and shared problem‑solving

* Balances professionalism with playfulness — we work hard, support each other and enjoy the journey

We foster a safe, inclusive environment where people are encouraged to grow, contribute and make a real impact.

Growth & Development

This role offers:

* Ongoing learning and skill development

* Exposure to multiple areas of the business

* Support from experienced colleagues who value knowledge‑sharing

* Opportunities to grow responsibility as your confidence and capability build

Benefits & Perks

We believe culture is built in the everyday moments. Our benefits include:

* Active social club

* Friday night team drinks

* Casual Fridays

* Birthday morning tea celebrations

* Standard business hours (8:30am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday)

* Supportive, team‑focused workplace

* Opportunities for learning and development

* Opportunities for flexible working
