Job Title: Landscape Supervisor Location: Sydney The Opportunity The Landscape Supervisor serves as the vital link between design vision and ground-level execution. This individual is responsible for overseeing field operations, managing a dedicated crew of landscaping professionals, and ensuring that every commercial landscaping projects is completed to the highest standard of excellence. My client work all over metro Sydney with a strong focus on commercial landscaping including parks, playgrounds, recreation reserves etc. Key Responsibilities The Supervisor does not just watch from the sidelines; they orchestrate the flow of the workday. Primary duties include: Team Leadership: The Supervisor directs daily crew activities, provides hands-on training, and fosters a culture of safety and efficiency. Project Management: They interpret blueprints and site plans, ensuring that all plantings, hardscapes, and irrigation systems are installed according to specification. Quality Control: This role requires a keen eye for detail. The Supervisor conducts regular site inspections to ensure the health of plant material and the structural integrity of all work. Client Liaison: They act as the professional face of the company on-site, communicating progress updates to clients and addressing any concerns with a solution-oriented mindset. Resource Allocation: The Supervisor manages equipment maintenance schedules and tracks material inventories to prevent project delays. Qualifications & Requirements To excel in this role, the candidate must possess a blend of technical skill and leadership grit: Experience: A minimum of 5 years in professional landscaping, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity. Horticultural Knowledge: A deep understanding of local plant species, soil science, and pest management. Technical Proficiency: Ability to operate and maintain heavy machinery (e.g., skid steers, mini-excavators) and read complex site elevations is ideal but not necessary.
