About the Role and Where You Will Be Working
Germanus Kent House (Broome, WA) is a modern, state‑of‑the‑art facility built in 2008. It supports up to 55 residents and is conveniently located near shops, a chemist, a bank, local medical centre and hospital.
You’ll be part of a dedicated, close‑knit team that delivers tailored care. As a valued team member and leader, you will use your clinical knowledge to ensure residents receive the best care from nursing and support staff.
This is a permanent full‑time position.
Responsibilities
- Support, coordinate and mentor a small team of nurses and health‑care workers.
- Provide clinical leadership, assess and develop the capability of nursing staff.
- Coordinate and oversee admissions and clinical documentation.
- Prepare budgets and support cost‑control initiatives.
- Participate in quality improvement programs and review and update relevant policies and procedures.
- Consult with SCC WA clinical leads and external medical practitioners to secure the best outcomes for clients.
Qualifications and Experience
- Current AHPRA registration.
- Current clinical nursing skills.
- Experience in aged care.
- Confidence to act in a Facility Manager role when required.
- Proven track record in leading and driving quality clinical outcomes.
- Ability to maximise funding via AN‑ACC.
- Well‑developed reporting and research skills.
- Recognised infection control qualification.
