We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Mathematics and Statistics to work on a project entitled \"Data‐driven modelling of dynamical systems: A measure transport framework\". The successful candidate will work with Associate Professor Tiangang Cui, Professor Georg Gottwald and Professor Sebastian Reich on a project at the interface of dynamical systems, measure transport and machine learning. The project will develop fast, scalable numerical algorithms for extracting the evolution model of the relevant dynamical skeleton, quantifying associated uncertainties, and applying the methodology to a data‐driven model for climate prediction of the El‐Niño‐Southern Oscillation. This project has recently been funded by the Australian Research Council.
