About the Role

The Navy’s Anchorage (TNA) is looking for a motivated and proactive Marketing Generalist to join our growing team. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for a graduate or early-career marketing professional wanting hands-on exposure across all areas of marketing, communications, events, digital content, merchandise, and promotions.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety in their day, and is excited to contribute across multiple creative and operational projects. From social media and campaigns to event coordination and website updates, no two days will look the same.

You’ll work closely with the Marketing Manager and broader team to support national marketing initiatives, brand activations, communications, and operational marketing activities across the organisation. Some travel may be required to support events and activations.

Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
* Manage and maintain TNA social media accounts across relevant platforms

* Plan, create, schedule, and publish engaging content aligned with the marketing calendar

* Monitor engagement, respond to messages/comments, and assist with community management

* Stay across social media trends and identify opportunities to grow audience reach and engagement

Event Coordination
* Assist in the planning and delivery of TNA Major and Mid-Level events

* Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and venue contacts to support smooth event execution

* Provide on-site event support including setup, attendee management, and pack-down

* Maintain event documentation including run sheets, supplier contacts, and post-event reporting

Internal Communications
* Support the preparation and distribution of internal communications

* Assist with drafting newsletters, announcements, and staff updates

* Liaise with stakeholders to ensure communications are accurate, timely, and aligned with brand standards

Merchandise Portfolio Support
* Assist with the creation and production of the monthly merchandise catalogue

* Process incoming stock including invoicing and inventory administration

* Coordinate outgoing stock orders and transfers

* Conduct stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory records

Promotions Support
* Support the development and rollout of promotional campaigns

* Assist with the activation of offers across digital and physical channels

* Maintain promotional schedules, records, and timelines

Digital & Website Support
* Assist with website content updates and page maintenance

* Ensure content remains accurate, current, and on-brand

* Coordinate website updates with relevant stakeholders and suppliers

Analytics & Reporting
* Assist with collecting and reporting on marketing performance data

* Support regular reporting across campaigns, social media, events, and website activity

* Help identify insights and opportunities for continuous improvement

About You

You are highly organised, adaptable, and eager to build your career within a collaborative marketing environment. You enjoy balancing creative and operational tasks and are confident managing multiple priorities at once.

You will also bring:

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* High attention to detail and organisational capability

* A proactive and hands-on attitude

* The ability to work both independently and collaboratively

* Enthusiasm for marketing, events, social media, and digital communications

* Flexibility to support events outside standard business hours where required

Selection Criteria
Essential
* Demonstrated interest or experience in marketing, communications, or a related field

* Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear and accurate content

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general digital platforms

* Strong organisational and time management skills

* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Willingness to travel and provide on-site event support as required

Desirable
* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related discipline

* Experience with social media platforms and scheduling tools

* Exposure to website CMS platforms

* Familiarity with analytics/reporting tools such as Google Analytics or Meta Insights

* Experience supporting events or activations

* Understanding of merchandise or inventory processes
