Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Inspector – Water/Wastewater to oversee critical construction activities. This role involves ensuring compliance, quality, and safety across major infrastructure works. Key responsibilities include:
* Supervise construction of sewer pump station excavation and concrete works.
* Oversee large trunk sewer installations via open trench construction.
* Monitor tunnelling operations and provide technical input where required.
* Manage challenges related to hard rock excavation, contaminated soils, and dewatering/water treatment processes.
* Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed progress reports.
* Ensure adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We're looking for:
* Proven experience in water and sewer construction supervision.
* Knowledge of tunnelling techniques and associated safety protocols.
* Familiarity with handling hard rock, contaminated soils, and water treatment systems.
* Excellent record-keeping and reporting skills.
* Strong understanding of construction standards and compliance requirements.
* Contract management experience or knowledge (advantageous but not essential).
* Ability to communicate effectively with contractors and stakeholders.
