About the Role
The Project Accountant will support the finance lead in maintaining financial functions within the project to ensure integrity and transparency of financial data.
This role will work closely with participants to deliver consolidated financial requirements whilst providing valuable insights at an enterprise level.
* Prepare and review monthly project reporting, including enterprise management reporting and workshare reporting
* Track and report limb 1, limb 2 and limb 3 financial information
* Review variance reporting versus prior forecasts and budgets
* Review project reconciliations
* Support Contract Change Proposals (CCPs) and Sub-contract Change Proposals (SCPs) pricing
* Improve processes used to calculate accurate, timely and efficient reporting of financial results for the Project
* Assist in the preparation and review of the Project Annual Budget and Long-Range Plan
* Manage Tasking Statement TCE/cost models
* Co-ordinate finance inputs into the quarterly Estimate at Completion (EAC) process
* Operate, maintain and improve budgeting and forecasting processes for the project
* Maintain project indices for escalation and de-escalation calculations and reporting
About You
Your skills and experience will include:
* A relevant degree from a recognized institution
* Professional accounting certification such as CA or CPA
* Working in a finance related role preferably in a large project environment
* Ability to interact effectively with colleagues to implement business requirements
* Well-developed self-management skills to deliver outputs to time and quality
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* High literacy and numeracy skills
* Proficiency in MS Office applications especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Familiarity with Australian Accounting Standards and AIFRS
