Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and report on communication and swallowing disorders, organise and implement treatment for participants, and work with staff and families/caregivers on possible intervention strategies.
* Advocating for communication support for participants with communication difficulties.
* Providing mealtime management plans and helping to improve mealtimes.
* Select and utilise appropriate evidence-based practices and service delivery methods and review regularly.
Requires the following from you:
* Professional qualification in Speech Pathology with an active membership of Speech Pathology Australia, or a willingness to attain it.
* Willingness to undertake intrastate travel to deliver services in other locations, and some outside normal hours work, as need arises.
* Knowledge of NDIS and participant/family centred practices is desirable.
* Current driver's licence.
* Current (no older than 3 months) or ability to apply for National Police Check.
* Current or ability to apply for Working with Vulnerable People Card/NDIS Worker Screening Check.
