About the Role:
As a Personal Care Worker, you will be an integral part of our team, working under the guidance of Registered Nurses to provide high-quality care and support to our residents. Your primary role will be to assist our residents with their daily living activities, ensuring their well-being and dignity are maintained at all times.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and demonstrate empathy and compassion towards our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support residents in maintaining their independence and choice in life
* Contribute to the overall quality of life of our residents by promoting physical, emotional, and lifestyle interests
* Implement clinical and care interventions as delegated by Registered Nurses, as documented in residents' care plans
* Assist residents with personal care needs while encouraging independence and dignity
* Prioritize workloads effectively and deliver care with compassion and respect
Requirements:
* Experience working in the Aged Care sector, preferably with a Certificate III in Aged Care/Individual Support
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Reliability to work a roster with set shifts and basic computer skills
* Working knowledge of WH&S and infection control
* Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
