About the role
Become a Restaurant Supervisor at Wagyu Ya Restaurant Group in the heart of Melbourne, VIC 3000. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity to lead and mentor a team of dedicated waiting staff, ensuring exceptional customer service and overall restaurant operations.
What you'll be doing
* Supervise and coordinate a team of waiting staff to deliver a high-quality dining experience for customers
* Monitor and maintain efficient table service, ensuring orders are taken and served promptly
* Assist with training and developing waiting staff, providing guidance and feedback to improve performance
* Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations within the restaurant
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner
* Contribute to inventory management and stock control to maintain appropriate levels
* Support the restaurant manager in the day-to-day operations and decision-making
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as a Restaurant Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry
* Minimum 2-3 years of restaurant supervisor experience required
* Strong customer service orientation and the ability to provide exceptional dining experiences
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to lead and motivate a team
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Thorough understanding of food safety, health and hygiene regulations
* Food safety certifications must be obtained within probation period
* Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays as required
* Australian work rights required
