About the role:
As an Assistant Children's Services Worker, you will support the delivery of a high-quality, inclusive, and nurturing childcare service. You will assist in maintaining a safe and stimulating environment that supports each child's development in alignment with the Early Years Learning Framework and Torres Strait cultural values.
What We're Looking For:
* A genuine interest in early childhood development and community card.
* Strong communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
* Willingness to work under supervision and learn on the job.
* Ability to follow safety and care procedures as per guidelines.
We need someone who shares our values of One, Respect, Accountability, Courage, and Resilience. The ideal candidate will have:
* Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) - Mandatory requirement.
* Minimum one (1) year child care experience.
* Current competency in an approved First Aid qualification, Anaphylaxis Management and Emergency Asthma Management training or willingness to undertake.
* Demonstrated experience in early childhood settings implementing the Early Years Learning Framework.
* Ability to support children's emotional, social, and cognitive development through planned and spontaneous activities.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with families, educators, and the community.
