About Us

Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we provide a range of public health services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Region.

NBMLHD Community Mental Health offers a range of specialised services for children, young people, families and older people, through our community-based services and health centres. Our multidisciplinary health professionals and case managers take a collaborative approach to mental health care by linking with their patients to work together and consult within an environment appropriate to the person's needs.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Access Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in a critical role that supports clients requiring acute mental health care. This position is responsible for delivering triage, comprehensive assessments, and assertive outreach services to individuals and their families, ensuring access to the least restrictive and most effective treatment options. The role involves providing acute care interventions, supporting clients recently discharged from inpatient services, and responding to those presenting with urgent care needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients, their families, and carers to develop collaborative treatment plans that reflect best practice and evidence-based care. This role requires strong teamwork and coordination with inpatient units, community-based services, and other members of the Access team to ensure continuity and quality of care.

This is a challenging but deeply rewarding opportunity for a nurse committed to making a meaningful impact in acute mental health services. Apply Now
