About the role
The primary role of a Gas Field Technician provides hands-on operation, maintenance and monitoring for the company's landfill gas (LFG) fields, flaring projects, and power generation sites. In addition, the Field Technician participates in relevant gas field activities and systemic fault-finding, when required, across all project sites. The role proactively coordinates activities with the broader LGI operations team. The role is focused on LGI's projects based in NSW/ACT and may also involve periodic travel to other Company sites in QLD.
The role may assist in the delivery of new installation, extension, and repairs of landfill gas systems and associated infrastructure in Australia.
The Gas Field Technician is expected to lead by example, providing a professional approach to planning, decision-making and problem-solving, with a focus on safety, and quality.
Previous experience in the tuning of landfill gas fields is highly desirable. The candidate should at a minimum have had some experience working in an operational capacity on landfill gas systems.
What you will be doing
The additional responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
● Applying LGI's WHS, EM and QA systems to ensure safety and compliance with relevant legislation.
● Supporting the LGI's flaring and gas fields operations, with particular responsibility for Brisbane-based landfill gas fields.
● Maintenance and housekeeping (i.e. weed control, cleaning, tidying, etc) at gas fields.
● Thorough monitoring and data-collection in accordance with monitoring schedules and data collection procedures.
● Assisting the operations team (flare, gas field, and power generation) with systemic fault-finding and trouble-shooting, as required.
● Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs.
● Maintaining LGI property, such as equipment and vehicles, in a tidy, clean, and professional manner at all times.
● Day-to-day record keeping and regular communication of status and issues with the Field Technician Supervisor, Asset Manager, or other staff as needed.

Pay will be commensurate with experience.
