Hunter New England Local Health District is hiring a Sterilisation Technician Grade 2. The position is temporary full‐time or temporary part‐time until February 2027 and requires 38 hours per week. It is located at John Hunter Hospital.

Responsibilities
* Reprocess medical and surgical instruments in line with statutory requirements and departmental policies.
* Support orthopaedics, trauma and neurosurgery specialties.
* Use instrument tracking systems to ensure accuracy and traceability.
* Provide reprocessing services to internal departments and external customers.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support theatre and ward workflows.
Qualifications
* Certification II or III in sterilisation technology or equivalent qualification and relevant experience in a healthcare facility.
* Strong understanding of sterilising processes and instrument tracking systems.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
* Additional skills and service‐specific knowledge will be supported through training and on‐the‐job learning.
