Restaurant Manager - Immediate Start
Nick O’Leary Heywood
Established in 2023, Nick O’Leary Heywood is a destination dining experience located in Wallaroo just 30 minutes from the city centre. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house team and drive exceptional service standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic hospitality environment and is passionate about delivering memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Service Leadership
* Lead and manage staff during service
* Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations
* Actively manage guest relations, including handling feedback and resolving issues professionally
* Confidently present and support our wine program, which includes both Nick O’Leary wines and a curated external list
* Assist the Operations Manager with private functions and events
Administration
* Manage bookings and coordinate closely with the kitchen to ensure seamless service for reservations and walk-ins
* Oversee ordering and maintain appropriate stock levels
* Input and manage invoices accurately
Staff Management
* Prepare and manage rosters
* Train and develop front-of-house team members
* Monitor and maintain staff cost targets
About You
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in hospitality
* Strong leadership and team development capabilities
* Comfortable discussing wine with guests and staff, with a sound understanding of general wine styles and vocabulary (training on Nick O’Leary wines will be provided)
* Warm, engaging personality with a genuine passion for hospitality, food, and wine
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Ability to remain composed and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment
* Practical and proactive approach to day-to-day operational challenges
