**Job Title:** Boilermaker
About the Role
The Curragh North open-cut coal mining project is a leading undertaking within the Southern Bowen Basin. We are seeking a skilled Boilermaker to join our team, reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
As a Boilermaker with Thiess, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of mobile fleet and other equipment in accordance with our servicing, lubrication, and maintenance systems documentation. Your tasks will include sourcing technical information from reference manuals, technical bulletins, and computer-based systems, as well as maintaining high housekeeping standards and performing pre-start checks.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a proactive attitude, with a desire to work reliably as part of a world-class team to deliver excellence for our clients. You should be proficient in performing all welding, gouging, cutting, or other duties, and have Standard 11 certification. A Trade Certificate in Engineering Fabrication or Equivalent is also required, along with post-trade experience working in the mining and heavy earthmoving industry, or hydraulic excavator industry – Mobile plant equipment & heavy welding experience is essential.
Additionally, you will need to hold a current Drivers Licence (HR drivers licence highly regarded).
