Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Coordinator to strengthen the integrity, consistency, and operational excellence at Fertility Tasmania. This role plays a central part in ensuring all activities align with internal quality standards, approved protocols, and compliance obligations.
The successful candidate will oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and standard operating procedures, with a focus on quality systems, audit readiness, and ongoing compliance monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
* Quality and Compliance Systems
* Develop, draft, review, and update processes, procedures, standard operating procedures, and quality documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with internal and external requirements.
* Maintain and improve document control processes, ensuring all governance and clinical documents are version-controlled, up to date, and accessible.
* Support the implementation of quality improvement initiatives across clinical and operational teams.
* Conduct internal audits and routine compliance checks to identify gaps, risks, or opportunities for improvement.
* Monitor compliance with approved treatment protocols, standard operating procedures, and service-wide governance standards.
* Contribute to the ongoing development of governance frameworks, policies, and documentation.
* Identify and escalate compliance risks or deviations to support timely resolution.
* Assist Clinical Governance with accreditation readiness.
* Act as a point of contact for internal teams regarding governance, compliance, and quality-related queries.
* Liaise with clinicians, operational teams, and external agencies to ensure timely and accurate sharing of required information.
* Provide training, guidance, and updates to staff on new or updated processes, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
* Documentation and Record Management
* Maintain detailed records of all submissions, approvals, and related correspondence in compliance with document control requirements.
Essential Criteria
* Exceptional written communication and document management skills.
* Experience drafting and updating standard operating procedures, procedures, or quality documentation.
* Strong organisational and time management abilities with high attention to detail.
* Commitment to confidentiality, quality, and compliance in all aspects of work.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience in healthcare quality, compliance, or governance frameworks.
* Familiarity with internal audit processes, document control systems, or regulatory submission platforms.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines across a dynamic environment.
* Strong computer literacy.
