Assistant Director Insider Threat and Assurance
This role supports the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in implementing a major social reform in Australia. The NDIS enhances the quality of life and increases economic and social participation for people with disability.
The Cyber Security and Resilience Branch implements government security policies and frameworks, providing strategic, tactical, and operational oversight of Cyber Security and Operations.
Insider Threat and Assurance is an intelligence team responsible for developing and maintaining a proactive detection and prevention program to counter insider threats. Using intelligence methodology and available data, the team analyses behaviours of staff to determine risk and provide mitigating advice.
The position requires a complex work approach that delivers quality outcomes across functions related to insider threat, intelligence, and risk management.
* Manage all-source intelligence fusion from technical and human sources.
* Act as Collection Manager throughout the intelligence cycle.
* Produce relevant, timely, and actionable intelligence.
* Coordinate internal and external source collection processes.
* Manage elements of counterintelligence and security intelligence.
* Lead a team conducting intelligence collection, integration, and analysis to provide actionable intelligence products for key decision-makers.
* Support the planning and execution of Insider Threat team capability uplift.
A successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in intelligence or cyber security roles, hold relevant qualifications, and possess initiative, effective time management, independent thinking, and analytical skills.
