We are on the hunt for a Senior Network Security and Firewall SME,combining deep technical expertise with outstanding customer support to design, deliver, and secure critical infrastructure. Based in Belconnen, ACT, this permanent full-time role offers hybrid work flexibility and the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that matter.
As a key member of our delivery team, you'll take ownership of innovative network solutions that support complex, secure environments. Your work will be critical in ensuring we meet and exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical and operational leadership to engineers to drive successful project outcomes
* Collaborate with Service Delivery Managers and Project Managers to ensure solutions are delivered on time, on budget, and to spec
* Own and drive solution delivery, troubleshooting, and resolution of network issues
* Create and maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, processes, and knowledge base content
Working Conditions
* Based in Belconnen, ACT.
* Australian Citizen with NV1 Security Clearance Mandatory
What will make you successful in this role?
* 5+ years of experience in network security architecture, design, and implementation
* Expertise in Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto network security solutions
* Hands-on experience with Cisco/Aruba switches, routers, and wireless infrastructure
* Exposure to AWS, Azure, and both Windows and Linux environments
* Familiarity with the Information Security Manual (ISM) and the Essential Eight strategies
* Strong knowledge of network protocols and cybersecurity best practices
* Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to think on your feet
* Strong communication and teamwork skills — you'll be working closely with both clients and internal teams
