Employment Type: Temporary Full Time (Maternity Relief until 28th February ****). Position Classification: Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2. Remuneration: $116,****** – $120,****** +Superannuation. Hours Per Week: 38. Location: Broken Hill NSW.
What You'll Be Doing
Provide leadership in the development of nursing clinical practice and service delivery within the speciality of Haemodialysis and Renal Services located in Broken Hill and Wilcannia.
Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, partner organisations and consumers to achieve quality care and outcomes.
Make a real difference helping some of the most vulnerable people in NSW.
Provide our renal patients with person-centred, evidence-based nursing care.
Develop your skills and progress your career with more responsibility and autonomy than you would get in larger hospitals.
Qualifications and Experience
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of the specified post-graduate qualification.
Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and ability to exercise autonomous decision making in providing complex care.
Demonstrated application of professional and ethical boundaries to the delivery of patient care in the context of a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking in the planning and delivery of individualised person-centred patient care.
Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner, and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
Demonstrated commitment to work and partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients, families and employees in a culturally safe and respectful way, to enhance health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
Demonstrated effective, excellent written and verbal communication skills and information technology skills.
Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes between Broken Hill Health Service and Wilcannia Multipurpose Service; this may also involve driving long distances within the Local Health District with some overnight stays.
