Cancer Care Coordinator

The Department
Our team is responsible for providing comprehensive cancer services involving multiple clinical areas and units, including Medical Oncology, Haematology, Bone Marrow Transplant, State-wide Haemophilia Service, Radiation Oncology, Palliative Care, and the Victorian Melanoma Service. Located in Paula Fox Melanoma and Cancer Centre, we provide care for patients undergoing systemic therapy for most adult solid tumours and blood cancers, as well as an apheresis and outpatient stem cell transplant service.
The Role
The Cancer Care Coordinator is an integral member of our team with the responsibility of coordinating appointments for patients attending and scheduling for patients attending our Day Treatment Area. They also perform a wide variety of tasks to support smooth operations within the unit.
Experience and Skills Required
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Demonstrated skills in the use of IT systems, preferably in a healthcare setting
* Demonstrated understanding of pre-admission, admission, and discharge principles
* Excellent time management
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work in a team environment
