G.R.E. Recruitment is partnering with an Audio Technology Specialist company to hire an Embedded Software Team Lead with expertise in C on embedded platforms. This role is 4 days per week in the Wiltshire-based office; candidates must be commutable to Wiltshire. They work with iconic and luxurious brands and retailers in the UK.
Responsibilities
You'll coordinate the embedded software development team and contribute to development activities. The role is split between line management and hands-on coding duties. On a day-to-day basis you'll contribute to projects that use microcontrollers, DSP, and embedded Linux technologies. You should have strong experience in at least one of these areas. You'll liaise with other development teams within the business and translate the PM requirements into engineering actions.
Qualifications
* 5+ years embedded C development experience, ideally with product development/embedded software.
* Experience writing code for embedded applications (Linux) or C on ARM processors.
* Great communication skills.
* Experience with WIFI / Audio Technology – working with sound-based products.
* Interest in moving towards people management (not necessarily current management experience).
