The Role:
McArthur is seeking pro-active and experienced Youth Workers to join our team of Casual Support Work staff who we engage with a wide range of specialised Child and Youth Services programs.
The variety of the organisations that we work with allows for great flexibility in the role to work a range of different shift options and with different work focuses, from Child Protection to Out of Home Care and Refuges the options are many.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
4. Empower and encourage at-risk young people with high-risk behavioural concerns while still setting boundaries
5. Adapt and manage challenging situations while maintaining positivity and commitment
6. Prepare and submit high quality case notes detailing presentation, behaviours, concerns and incidents relating to shifts and/ or supervised contacts
7. Display skill for solving challenges and complex issues with out-of-the-box thinking and bright ideas
8. Undertake reasonable domestic tasks including cooking and cleaning as required when working in residential based programs
The Requirements:
9. Minimum Bachelor's degree qualification in Youth Work, Social Work, Psychology, or similar
10. Minimum months paid sector experience supporting young people with complex behavioural challenges
11. Current clear Police Check completed within the last months
12. Victorian Employee Working with Children Check and willingness to obtain other vulnerable people working checks as required
13. Victorian Drivers Licence
