About The Role:

Blackwood Advisory is seeking a dedicated and experienced Client Services Officer (Centrelink) to join the team. In this vital position, the successful candidate will support clients throughout the Centrelink process—from initial applications through to ongoing updates and maintenance—ensuring entitlements are received with clarity, accuracy, and care.
Working closely with the Senior Client Services Officer and Admin Team Leader – Advice, the role also involves contributing to general client service operations, managing documentation, liaising with internal advisors, and serving as a key point of contact for clients.

What You'll Be Doing:

* Act as a trusted point of contact for clients needing Centrelink support
* Process Centrelink applications within a financial planning framework
* Manage ongoing Centrelink updates post-application, particularly after client reviews
* Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies or issues with Centrelink directly
* Manage client documentation and perform administrative tasks (data entry, scanning, profiling)
* Coordinate client appointments and follow-ups to ensure timely service delivery
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflows and excellent client experience
* Support senior staff with escalations and assist with service improvement initiatives
* Ensure client tasks are completed with accuracy and in line with service standards
What You'll Bring:
* 1–3 years' experience in a client services or admin role (financial planning preferred)
* Demonstrated experience in processing Centrelink applications
* Strong understanding of Centrelink procedures and ongoing maintenance requirements
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the confidence to speak with Centrelink when needed
* High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
* A team player attitude with a genuine passion for client care
* Strong computer skills, including MS Office and client management systems
* Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on tasks
