ABOUT BUFFET
Buffet is Australia's market-leading creative studio in food and drink, working exclusively within this industry. We build worlds around brands through exceptional digital content, strategy and design, and manage the creative, content and social platforms for the best restaurants and F&B brands in the country including Icebergs, Heaps Normal, Archie Rose Distilling Co, Solotel, Fink, Love Tilly Group, Breville, 10 William St, Ace Hotel, The Old Clare Hotel and more.
ROLE DESCRIPTION.
THIS ROLE INCLUDES:
- Brainstorming, writing, planning and publishing written and visual content for multiple client social accounts at once on a retainer and campaign-led basis (across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
- Copywriting for online articles, EDMs, product and packaging.
- Visual content creation including smartphone shooting and editing, and basic graphic design.
- Working under our Strategy + Campaign Editor to produce tailored content strategies.
- Preparing and analysing regular social data reports for clients.
- Briefing, producing and attending selected shoots to interview chefs and venue teams, alongside our photographic and video teams.
- Keeping on top of digital trends and new platforms.
- Working on content projects specific to the Buffet brand, including our own social and written content output, podcasts, print projects and shop.
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES:
- You're flexible, agile and excited about working in a fast-paced agency environment where everyone wears many hats.
- You're an exceptional, detail-oriented copywriter and/or editor who requires mínimal editing, with a clear knowledge of Australia's food and wine environments, comfortable speaking with chefs and restaurant owners on the fly in a professional manner.
- You're a multi-tasker who is energised by juggling multiple projects at once, is self-motivated and proactive enough to help out when and where is needed across the business.
- You're creative but also proven to be strategic, and know that no piece of content should be published without a clear goal in mind.
- You're passionate about using social media to tell a compelling story and build community, as well as converting followers to customers, and will stop at nothing to discover how to crack an audience.
- You are data-driven, and can easily analyse wins and losses.
- You're a content creator at heart with a strong visual eye, and can pick out the best photo in a bunch of 100 quickly and easily. Better yet, you can shoot it yourself.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Two years experience working in a social media or digital content role, preferably in the food and drink space, with copywriting as a core skill.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Published food writing experience.
- Smartphone photography and video shooting and editing skills.
- Comfortable working with social media planning and scheduling software such as Iconosquare and native Meta scheduling.
- Experience working with Photoshop, Keynote, Dropbox and video editing software is desired.
- Experience preparing analytics reports for clients and working to targets.
- Demonstrated experience managing paid social media campaigns.
