The Role
This permanent, part-time opportunity offers hands-on experience in the OSHC industry. You'll be supported by a Director of Service to thrive in your role. Location involves an afternoon service; you'll work across split shifts, Monday to Friday (2:45pm–6:00pm), totaling 16.25 hours per week.
As the Second in Charge (2IC), you'll be a key leader in delivering high-quality care and creating memorable experiences for children in our service. This is a role for someone passionate about childcare and leadership, with the aim of making a meaningful impact on children, parents, and the team.
Responsibilities
* Engage with the school community and attend events and assemblies.
* Assist with the creation and implementation of enriching experiences based on children's preferences.
* Foster genuine relationships with children and their families.
* Play with primary school-aged children and ensure the program is compliant with industry regulations.
Qualifications
* ELC Qualified
* Ideally prior experience in Before and After School Care or education; training can be provided for the right candidate.
* Thrives in a fast-paced environment; confident communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
* Strong teamwork, problem-solving skills, and a positive, can-do attitude.
* Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary-aged children.
* Diploma qualification (equivalent or working towards) as per ACECQA standards.
