Mansell Taylor Consulting is proud to partner with Transmax to appoint a Head of Quality & Delivery Excellence, responsible for improving engineering quality, delivery flow, and release governance across the organisation.
This is a senior leadership role focused on enabling consistent, high-quality, and predictable software delivery.
Opportunity
You will lead Quality Engineering and Agile delivery capability, embedding modern testing practices, delivery frameworks, and supporting delivery excellence and cross-cutting initiatives across all our product, platform, and operational teams.
This role plays a key part in strengthening engineering performance, improving delivery predictability, and supporting safe, scalable releases, including being a critical part of our AI-enabled process across our SDLC.
What you'll be doing
* Lead Quality Engineering and Scrum Master capability across teams
* Define and implement testing strategies and automation frameworks
* Improve delivery flow using Agile practices and performance metrics
* Establish and govern release and change management processes
* Embed modern delivery practices (CI/CD, trunk-based development)
* Partner with SRE and Architecture on resilience and NFR alignment
* Drive delivery metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement
* Lead release governance and approval processes
* Enable SDLC standards and engineering capability uplift
About you
* Proven leadership in quality engineering or software delivery environments
* Strong background in Agile, testing automation, and SDLC practices, understanding where the theory meets pragmatism to deliver measurable outcomes across the way people work in a software business
* Experience implementing modern testing frameworks (unit, integration, E2E, performance)
* Strong understanding of release governance and delivery risk
* Experience in regulated or mission-critical environments
* Strong stakeholder engagement across technical and business teams
* Leadership experience across multidisciplinary teams
* Tertiary qualification in IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
