Scotford Fennessy have partnered with a dual-listed explorer to attract a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) here in Perth.
A multi-commodity, multi-project play, the portfolio is WA-centric at this point. Spanning critical minerals, gold, and ferrous metals, they range in stage from post-PFS to pre-scoping / expansion of drilling regime phases.
Key to your success in this role, will be the breadth of your broker and lender relationships, and the ability to get the company narrative better understood by the market through relevant media. This challenge is heightened by the small market cap (>$10m) compared to the $1b+ valuation of one of the key projects.
Management of existing off-take relationships and advancement of other channels will fall into this remit, as will day to day management of operational aspects (including drilling programs etc). Expect to partner closely with the Chair, Board and Exec to set the key strategic direction and priorities for the projects, with advancement towards development, sale to another party, and/or other exploration activities all mooted.
This role will best suit if you come from a corporate background (finance, legal, BD, commercial), with experience raising capital and existing relationships with small-cap relevant brokers. Comfort with the ‘multi-hat’ culture of an explorer will be needed, as will experience in a lead/exec role for an ASX-listed explorer or miner.
