Located in Lilydale, Melbourne, Hutch & Co is a specialty cafe offering fun and inventive seasonal menus & specialty roasted coffee. Our hard working team of front of house professionals are at the core of what helps us to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
We are now excited to be on the hunt for an Experienced Barista & Cafe All Rounder to join our front of house family in a Part-time or Casual capacity. Ensuring fantastic guest experience, smooth operations with a happy vibe is a key requirement of this position.
At Hutch & Co. Cafe, we pride ourselves on serving only the highest quality coffee to our loyal customers. We use state-of-the-art equipment to move over 100kg a week in coffee, including but not limited to:

As a barista on our team, you'll have the opportunity to work with top-of-the-line equipment and showcase your expertise in coffee preparation to a large base of dedicated regular customers in a highly fast paced environment.
We operate from 7am - 3pm Weekdays and 8am-3pm Weekends, full weekend availability would be required for this role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Preparing and serving a range wide range of classic and specialty coffee in an extremely fast and accurate manner
* Providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests
* Maintaining a clean and organized workspace and ensuring the equipment is in top condition
* Participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to continually improve skills and knowledge of coffee preparation for yourself and those around you
* Manage and order a monthly rotation of Single Origin coffee and other coffee related stock
* Working closely with the Operations Manager to grow our coffee offering and build further interest in specialty coffee with the local community
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* At least 2 years minimum of experience as a professional barista in a fast-paced cafe environment
* Excellent knowledge of all aspects of coffee preparation, including espresso extraction (recipes and adjustments), perfected milk texturing, and advanced latte art (in every cup)
* Strong communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality that will allow you to quickly build rapport with a large base of highly dedicated regular customers.
* A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable coffee experiences
* A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace and adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards
* The ability to work closely alongside our other highly trained hospitality professionals in a collaborative environment, where no task is above or below anyone's station
* Having a student mindset when it comes to learning our operational flow from our highly skilled team
* Full availability across weekend days are a must and flexibility is always considered
