About the Role
We're seeking a superstar Planning Manager for our flagship Heathwood site. This role is perfect for a strong leader with exceptional influence, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. You will play a key role in our transformation project driving the integrated business process.
Based at our Heathwood Site and reporting to the site General Manager, the Planning Manager will be responsible for managing a team of direct reports to efficiently forecast and plan production requirements, stock availability and customer needs. The Planning Manager will lead the day to day operations of the planning team, supporting uninterrupted Production flow, and be key to the success of the integrated business process.
* Liaise with Production to understand needs and prioritise operations ensuring maximum performance and minimum delay;
* Understand and identify risks in a Production capacity and service level;
* Plan and prepare Production schedules for manufacture of our FMCG products;
* Maintain awareness and build forward-looking views of the operational needs in order to develop current planning systems;
* Analyse Production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes and tools;
* Contribute to the development of long-term strategies and plans for operational needs and business objectives;
* Lead, guide and provide input into the overall framework guidelines for forecasting and supply planning processes;
* Maintains high level relationships with customers, vendors and partners;
* Manage supply shortages or delays with timely communication to minimise potential impact;
* Drives a culture of continuous improvement by continuously seeking to improve systems, practices and use of resources in the unit to ensure optimal supply chain support.
About you
* 5 years+ Planning or Supply/Inventory Management experience (ideally within a Manufacturing environment or shelf life products)
* Solid leadership skills, including training, mentoring and support;
* You will be a passionate and driven Planning professional that has the ability to lead a team to deliver outstanding results;
* Highly developed written and verbal communication skills;
* Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation;
* Customer centric, collaborative, responsible and disciplined;
* Ability to build relationships across all levels of the business, both internal and external, along with a strong customer focus.
