Personal Care Worker (Qualified) - Night Duty

What You'll Do

At Churches of Christ, we believe in providing care that goes beyond the basics—care that uplifts, respects, and empowers. As a Personal Care Worker (Qualified) – Night Duty at Clive Burdeu Aged Care, you'll be part of a compassionate team dedicated to supporting residents with dignity and warmth during the night.

This role is a calling to serve with heart, professionalism, and purpose.

* Provide personal, physical, and emotional care to residents during night shifts
* Assist with mobility, hygiene, meals, and social support as needed
* Support medication administration under supervision
* Monitor and report changes in residents' health and wellbeing
* Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
* Uphold residents' dignity, privacy, and confidentiality
* Work in alignment with our Positive Wellbeing Model of Care
* Assist with food handling, preparation, and light cleaning tasks
* Complete accurate documentation and contribute to care planning

Key Responsibilities

* Collaborate with nurses and care teams to deliver holistic, person-centred care
* Participate in the development and review of resident care plans
* Observe and report any changes in resident health to clinical staff
* Ensure all interactions with residents and families are respectful and confidential
* Support a safe and secure environment for all residents and staff
* Assist with delegated tasks from Registered or Enrolled Nurses
* Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and aged care standards
* Embodies the mission and values of Churches of Christ in all aspects of your work

Desirable qualifications include HLTHPS006 – Assist Clients with Medication, Certificate IV in Ageing Support, First Aid and CPR certification, and experience in aged care (12+ months preferred).

About You

* Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or Individual Support
* First Aid and CPR certification
* Experience in aged care preferred
* Empathetic, reliable, and committed to quality care

Other Requirements:

* A current National Police Check, flu vaccinations, NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain if required
