Specialist Disability Accommodation Housing & Tenancy Officer
Identitywa is seeking an experienced Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) Housing and Tenancy Officer to join our team on a part-time, 9-month contract. In this rewarding role, you will help deliver key initiatives under our Housing Strategy, drawing on your strong SDA experience to work closely with participants and key decision-makers on property-related matters while reflecting Identitywa's vision, mission and values.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with demonstrated Specialist Disability Accommodation and tenancy experience who is confident navigating property-related processes, building effective relationships, and advocating for participant needs in a values-driven organisation.
Please note this is a temporary part-time position for 9 months.
What you'll do:
* Work in collaboration with key stakeholders to develop and oversee the implementation of project plans for new developments
* In consultation and engagement with tenants/ participants/ decision makers, ensure Residential Tenancy Agreements (RTA)/ Speciality Disability Accommodation (SDA) agreements, and property inspections are completed, and attend/ contribute to Tenants meetings of SDA and other Identitywa managed homes
* Review SDA registered provided policy and procedures in collaboration with Quality and Compliance team and ensure all associated processes are aligned and implemented
* Provide regular updates and reports to the Housing Manager
What you'll bring to the role:
* Significant experience in the community care sector
* Comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of service design and co-design
* Experience in project management and ability to project manage with minimal supervision
* High level administration, organisational and time management skills
* Demonstrated ability to problem solve, critically analyse and develop innovative solutions, with attention to detail and the ability to determine priorities
* Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills as well as a positive 'can do' attitude
* Knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and national and state building codes and other legislative requirements (desirable)
What you'll need:
* Qualification in human services or equivalent
* Proof of valid Australian work rights
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module ("Quality, Safety & You")
* Current WA driver's licence and reliable motor vehicle
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Identitywa strongly recommends COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations for all workers
