Construction Maintenance Shift Supervisor

We are a small family‑operated business that is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead and work within one of our Construction Maintenance crews which operate on a mine site in Moranbah.

About the role
Previous experience in a supervisory role
Minimum 2 years' experience supervising construction or maintenance teams (preferably 3–8 people)
Minimum of 2 years experience on a mine site
Construction Trade certificate and experience (e.g., carpentry Cert III, plumbing etc)
A current unrestricted driver's licence.
Australian citizenship or permanent residency with unrestricted work rights.
Meet Inherent Safety Requirements of the site which mandatorily include (but are not limited to) Clean Shaven, Hard Hats, Safety Boots, safety glasses etc.

Established family‑owned Surface Infrastructure maintenance provider (10+ years)
On‑site phone and devices provided
Hands‑on role with small crew
Lots of task variation to keep things interesting.
Supervise a civil construction / maintenance crew on the surface of an Underground Coal Mine.
Supervise and work with civil construction / maintenance crew to ensure they are meeting project and any changing site needs.
Work in line with SHMS and site requirements.
Collaborate with the Construction Manager and client to guarantee that the planned or required work is executed to the highest standards of quality, environmental compliance, and health and safety.
Engage in daily pre‑start and toolbox meetings to foster a productive team environment.
Manage direct resourcing allocations in line with project schedule, monitor all ongoing works to identify potential challenges or issues, and provide leadership and assist toward resolution.
Manage client and stakeholder interactions during construction and maintenance activities.
Use electronic systems to allocate resources, record task information and order materials.
To succeed in this role it is essential to have
Previous experience in a supervisory role
Minimum of 2 years experience on a mine site
Construction Trade certificate and experience (e.g., carpentry Cert III, understanding plumbing, electrical etc)
Drug and alcohol free, clean shaven site.
To stand out above the rest it is highly regarded if you have
CBM/CMWHA and fit for work medicals
Civil Machinery tickets (e.g., skid steer, backhoe, 8t excavator)
High Risk Work licence
Poly welding experience
Competency with electronic devices.
