Business Development Manager – SEQ
Our client is a well‑established private company specialising in the hire and sales of construction and infrastructure solutions, as well as large‑scale events. With a network of branches across Australia and New Zealand and steady growth over the last two decades, the company is looking for an experienced sales professional to join the SEQ team.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow sales revenue with a portfolio of tier 2 and tier 3 commercial builders operating in SEQ.
* Identify, track and secure supply contracts for commercial construction projects.
* Build close working relationships with key decision makers to stay abreast of future projects and secure ongoing work.
* Manage customer accounts effectively by providing relevant information around industry legislation and safety requirements.
* Contribute to the national sales strategy by cross‑selling opportunities and executing strategies that drive revenue growth and market share.
* Develop and execute account plans and collaborate with internal teams to deliver profitable projects.
* Coordinate with the company's logistics and operations team to ensure project requirements are met.
* Forecast, track projects, maintain CRM and provide reporting.
Required Experience
* Prior experience in a similar Business Development role within the commercial construction or a related industry.
* Demonstrated ability to win new business and achieve sales targets.
* Highly motivated and resilient with a track record of achieving growth.
* Well‑developed commercial, negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
* Evidence of working with internal stakeholders to coordinate projects and deliver customer satisfaction.
* Strong planning and time‑management skills with a high attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Sound IT skills.
