**Responsibilities**:
- Provide best in class commercial advice in relation to vendor engagements and related strategy decisions, with a critical focus on analysing risk elements
- Work with the Global Commodity Manager and local business partners to find the balance between global, regional and local priorities, developing and driving long term strategies
- Lead commercial negotiations to ensure the best outcome for HSBC whilst maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards
- Lead RFx processes
- Provide contractual advice to the business in supporting the resolution of disputes or contract non-conformance
- Proactively direct all aspects of the supplier lifecycle
- Ensure the best interests of HSBC are served in managing 3rd parties
- Support initiatives related to procurement process and system improvement
Requirements
**Requirements**:
- Well-versed in Strategic Sourcing methodologies, Category Planning, strategic Supplier Relationship Management
- Relevant working experience in strategic procurement, contract management and third party supplier management
- Results-oriented and self-motivated with a commercial mindset and strong business acumen
- Excellent presentation and influencing skills
- Pragmatic approach with multitasking capabilities
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
- Strong project implementation, coordination and financial analysis skills preferred
- Previous experience of successfully operating in a matrix management structure within a global or large corporate environment is desirable
- Experience in the Financial Sector would be viewed favourably but is not essential.
