Key Responsibilities
* Lead high‐impact university‐wide learning and teaching initiatives that directly shape a consistent, modern student learning experience at UWA.
* Operate with strategic autonomy to influence pedagogical practice, educational innovation and capability uplift across multiple schools and disciplines.
* Lead the implementation of UWA's digital exam approach and initiatives supporting our Adobe Creative Campus adoption.
* Lead initiatives end‐to‐end, from design and professional development through to implementation, adoption and continuous improvement.
* Drive educational innovation: Design and deliver contemporary, evidence‐based learning and teaching initiatives aligned to UWA's Education Strategy.
* Collaborative and visible role: Partner closely with academic leaders, learning and teaching specialists and professional staff to embed best practice at scale.
Employment Details
* Full‐time (1.0 FTE) appointment on a fixed‐term basis for 12 months.
* Base salary range: $116,262 – $127,078 p.a. (pro‐rata) plus 17% superannuation.
About The Area
The Digital Development and Enhancement Team at UWA collaborates with academics to design and develop high‐quality digital learning experiences, ensuring effective use of the Learning Management System (LMS) and innovative digital tools. They produce engaging multimedia content, uphold accessibility and quality standards, and provide training to enhance digital teaching capabilities. By leveraging learning analytics, feedback, and emerging trends, the team continuously improves online and digitally enhanced learning offerings, driving the University's digital learning and teaching agenda.
About You
* Experienced educational designer with extensive experience designing learning and teaching solutions in a higher education context. Experienced project manager or educational designer with extensive experience designing learning and teaching solutions and/or leading digital education initiatives in a higher education context.
* Strategic problem‐solver able to analyse complex teaching and learning challenges and translate them into innovative, effective solutions.
* Trusted collaborator and communicator with the ability to influence, lead and engage stakeholders at all levels of the University.
* Highly organised and self‐directed with strong project management capability, the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and independently drive initiatives to successful adoption.
