The Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) Servicesupports the frontline policing and corporate operations of SAPOLthrough the provision of ICT infrastructure and communicationplatforms, operational software applications, and support services.The Service is responsible for driving the ongoing evolution of ICTcapability across SAPOL, through the delivery of high-quality ICTchange programs.
The Service is structured across four corepillars: Strategy, Innovation and Engagement; Program Delivery;Operational Services; and Security and Assurance.
The Serviceextends from traditional ICT services to encompass a specialistradio and technology capability, including laser and radarcalibration services.
The Customer Service Branch is part of the Operational Servicesstream and provides a range of services to assist all SAPOL staffeffectively undertake their role.
The Branch provides an efficientcustomer interface, ensuring users problems are resolved, orassigned to the appropriate area within IS&T for resolution.The Branch provides equipment such as computers, radios and otherdevices to SAPOL.
The Branch provides support to users ofoperational applications and technology.
The Desktop Support Technician is responsible for contributingto the provision, installation and support of hardware and softwarerelating to end user devices including desktop and laptopcomputers, peripherals, licenced applications and mobile devices.The Desktop Support Technician works closely with other teammembers to provide a quality IS&T service to SAPOL.
Special Conditions
The incumbent must hold a current Australian workeligibility status and will be subject to a criminal historycheck.
The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at thisremuneration level or equivalent.
Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may berequired.
The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL'siEngage program.
Salary
ASO3 - $67,589 - $72,033 per annum.
