About the role
This position is ongoing, for 3 days per week and can offer flexibility. You will be the face of IT and first point of contact in the Australian head office located in North Sydney. You'll work with the full backing of a global internal helpdesk and regional IT lead based in Melbourne.
Responsibilities
* Provide in person and remote support to end users in Sydney but also interstate. Primary focus on desktop support but act as point of contact for all IT issues.
* Image and deploy Windows and Mac laptops.
* Work on assigned incidents raised through the global Helpdesk
* Participate in projects.
* Provide hands on support for the global network admin team in the Sydney comms room
* Advise customers and users on their IT needs and best practices.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with end users, with strong focus on customer service.
* Continuous focus on customer satisfaction, security compliance and standards.
* Procurement of PC and IT hardware
* Work with vendors for quotes and placing orders
* Maintain asset registers for all IT assets
* Provide IT inductions for new users
Skills and experience
* A natural desire to go beyond and ability to demonstrate this through passed experience work experience in any field or industry.
* Someone with a 'can do' attitude who is a problem solver with good judgement and communication skills.
* The ability to effectively manage time and prioritise tasks.
* Sound technical aptitude and ability to learn unfamiliar systems.
