An attractive salary of $83,095 - $85,649 plus Superannuation

- Supporting the Accounting and Financial Administration in_
- Preparing tender award records and framework agreements and following procurement procedures in adherence to German Funding regulations;
- Administering cash transactions, preparing supporting documents, making cash payments, entering and reconciling monthly into the Foundation's web-based administration and financial accounting system (PASTIS) following accounts and process manuals of the German system (while observing the four-eyes principle);
- Making payments and assisting other financial tasks in the absence of the Financial Manager
- Liaising with Headquarters in Germany regarding financial and administrative procedures;
- Assisting the Director of Australia, Project-Partners and Programme Coordinators in the financial planning and monitoring the cost effectiveness of activities and preparing supporting documents in accordance with funding rules and regulations;
- Responding to internal audit questions related to programmes and other financial transactions
- Ensuring due diligence in carrying out financial tasks by adhering to both Australian standards and German funding regulations
- Supporting the Office and Event Management in_
- support administrative matters regarding the planning, coordination,budgeting, implementation and follow-up of national and international seminars and delegation's visits related to the work in Australia,New Zealand, the South-Pacific, Germany and other parts of Europe;
- Assisting in travel arrangements, liaising with the preferred travel agent and ensuring travel support to the delegation and the director
- General office administration duties (e.g. database-management, visitor lists) and coordination of office services and ordering of stationery / supplies
- File and maintain document records and systems
**The Successful Applicant**:
- A tertiary qualification in business administration and/or proven professional experience in a similar administration role is preferred
- Full professional work proficiency in German and English (verbal and written)
- Strong interpersonal skills, including liaising with various stakeholders and partners of the foundation
- Be able to adapt to new systems efficiently.
Previous experience in accounting and/or ERP system and Microsoft Excel is highly regarded
- Excellent efficiency in handling any accounting issues quickly with mínimal interference
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to details for maintaining clear,accurate and meticulous financial records of the company
- highly developed project and time management skills, with the ability to set priorities, and plan and organise complex tasks with limited supervision
- strong IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to work as a member of a small team in a cooperative and collegiate manner
