About the Role
This role is responsible for assisting with the planning, improvement, and implementation of a Health and Safety Management System.
You will participate and coach operational leadership in the implementation of safety and Risk Reduction programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Engage with leaders to support health, safety, and environmental strategic goals
* Coach and mentor frontline leaders to build safety capability
* Support incident investigations and ensure effective closeout
* Drive implementation of Major Hazard Program and Risk framework
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental systems, standards, and legislation
* Analyse safety data to identify trends and improvement areas
* Contribute to setting and achieving health, safety, and environmental objectives and targets
* Promote visible safety leadership and field engagement
* Support audits, inspections, and action closeout
Qualifications and Experience
* A positive team player, committed to safety and supporting others
* Eager to grow in an exciting business and contribute to a high-performing team
* Tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety (desirable)
* Experience in health and safety roles within mining, heavy industry, or construction
* Proven experience supporting health, safety, and environmental systems, audits, and assurance activities
* Strong knowledge of WHS Legislation and application in operational environments
* Demonstrated ability to coach and influence frontline leaders and operational teams
* Experience in incident investigation (ICAM or equivalent methodology)
* Competency in Risk / Hazard Management, Critical Controls
* Skilled in data analysis and safety reporting tools (desirable)
