McArthur Human Services is partnering with a well‐established, values‐driven organisation delivering critical frontline services to women and children experiencing family and domestic violence. We are seeking experienced Refuge Case Workers for an initial 6-month locum placement, with strong potential to transition into a permanent role.
About the Role
Working within a refuge environment, you will provide trauma-informed, client‐centred case management and advocacy support to women and families in crisis.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting risk assessments and safety planning
* Delivering holistic case management aligned to client goals
* Supporting access to accommodation, health and community services
* Coordinating referrals and advocating on behalf of clients
* Maintaining accurate, timely and compliant case documentation
* Working collaboratively within a fast‐paced, multidisciplinary team
About You
Ideally, you will bring:
* Qualification in Social Work, Community Services or similar
* Experience in family and domestic violence, refuge, housing or crisis support
* Strong understanding of trauma‐informed practice
* Ability to manage complex situations with professionalism and empathy
* Flexibility to work shift work, weekends or on‐call as required
Important to Know
This role is offered on a casual contract basis, with an initial 6-month placement aligned to operational needs. While there is a strong pathway to permanency, continuation will depend on performance and service requirements.
