Data Quality Analyst – A permanent role focused on ensuring member data and critical business data are of the quality required to operate the business, serve members, and meet regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
* Implement and maintain data quality monitoring capabilities, transforming base‐layer data sources into measurable metrics and maintaining dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to surface issues and performance over time.
* Partner with business data owners and stewards to define target data quality thresholds for critical data, provide advisory support, and promote data quality maturity across business operations.
* Identify, analyse, and report data quality issues by tracing errors to root causes, communicating findings through clear visualisations and storytelling, and reporting results to governance forums and working groups.
* Support the development and execution of data quality controls, including preventive, detective, and corrective mechanisms to ensure critical data remains accurate, complete, consistent, and fit‐for‐purpose.
* Coordinate data correction activities – prioritise remediation with data owners and technical teams, document requirements, track progress, and monitor resolution outcomes.
* Maintain metadata, lineage, and catalogue information to ensure business integration, change alignment, and ongoing transparency of how data is used, transformed, and governed.
* Conduct hands‐on data analysis to reconcile and interrogate data assets, identify patterns and anomalies, and support regulatory, business or governance requirements as they emerge.
* Develop and embed proactive risk‐management controls – supporting risk, management requirements, control effectiveness testing, and incident/issue management.
* Support the Data Risk Manager in coordinating business projects and operations related to data management requirements (e.g., data disposal operations to meet regulatory obligations).
Qualifications
* Commercial experience in data governance or data analytics is desirable.
* Strong cognitive capability, data and computer literacy, and learning agility.
* Curiosity and problem‐solving ability.
* Experience using Power BI and data catalogues (e.g., Unity Catalogue, Purview) is desirable.
* Ability to work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
* Ability to build strong relationships with technical stakeholders and work with data stewards and the data stewards working group.
* Tertiary qualification in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Information Management, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or in a Business/Commerce/Marketing discipline.
